Civilian doc rant

Okay so I havent been on here blogging as much as I thought I would. The original plan was to write one blog a day from the day we got married. Well that didnt work out as well as I thought because the first few days we were at his mothers house and she doesnt have internet.Looking back, I probably could have just "notepad-ed it" and pasted later into the blog but oh well. So the new plan is to write in my blog more seriously when we get to Hawaii in September!
So I was able to finally get my medical records from my civilian doc so I could get an EFMP screening, which is mandatory for all family members going to Hawaii with their sponsor. OK fine, no problem. Well the lady there says that I will need to be enrolled in EFMP because of my stupid hip issues and that my civilian doc has to fill out the paperwork and fax it back to them. Well my civilian doc was told that we cannot move forward with the moving process until Im enrolled, and the guy is taking FOREVER to fax it back! UGGHHH!!! We need to get orders cut so that we can take care of transportation and all the other fun stuff that goes into PCSing...and my civilian doc is, as Kevin would say, "gumming up the works". To make it worse, this guy is former military so he knows how the process works!
As for Kevin and I, we are doing great! I love being married to him! I know its only been what under 2 weeks since we got married but I am, and am going to continue, enjoying every minute of it! This week he is doing "warrior training" which is cool because Monday and Friday he just goes in at like 7am and is home by like 8am! I love the extra cuddle time ;)

Got brownies baking so I need to get back to those...adios for now!

What a week!

I havent been on here in some time now! Ive been busy with wedding planning and going to Ohio so that took up alot of my time!. I got married on June 12th and despite a few hiccups it was the best day of my life! Everyone we wanted there was there and the day went pretty smooth.  The ceremony was really awesome, Kevin was nervous and so was I so we were holding hands and shaking like leaves haha. But we made it through it and I couldnt have been happier. I really love him and I will spend the rest of my life proving it to him. It did rain on my wedding day, which kind of bummed me out, but its supposed to be a sign of good luck when it rains so thats pretty cool. There were a few disappointments--the lady that was supposed to make our cake did it so terribly that Kevin said we didnt want it and ended up buying a store bought sheet cake. I was really excited that he stood up for me and didnt want to see me disappointed. Another thing is that my 3rd bridesmaid just didnt show up at all. I tried to message her several times with no response. Frickin rude if you ask me.  When it came time for the reception we found out that the keg we ordered (that we had to order from the venue) was never ordered! So the manager tried to cut some deal with Kevin to "make it right" but the deal was crap. We are so blessed to have Kevins uncle and his cousins girlfriend step in and take care of the tab so we didnt have to.  That was amazing of them! We were so pissed because this is the second screw up with that damn venue!! Ugh so if youre in the Columbus OH area, dont book a party with American Legion #614...they suck!! But in the end, Kevin and I had an amazing day and I am so excited to start a lifetime of adventure and love with my very favorite person in the whole world!
Being married to someone in the military, when we got back home I had to get an ID card and do insurance paperwork and all that jazz so that I will be placed on his orders when we move in September. No biggie though, Im familiar with the system and how it works.
The last week has been nothing short of fun, stressfull, and wonderful. I married the love of my life and met some awesome people. My brother walked me down the aisle and I wouldnt have had it any other way. Now to just get all this paperwork done and move to Hawaii without losing most of my sanity. Now that the wedding is over, I will have more time to write in my blog and update on day to day life! Happy Wednesday!
