Milspouse Friday Fill-In

I love Fridays, but today is extra special because....its my Birthday!!!! Yay for birthday, not so much the actual age. See, I have entered in to the glorious decade of my thirties, and while I have heard that this particular time in my life is going to be fun, Im not excited about crows feet and gray hairs starting to pop up! Then again, thats why the good lord invented miracle creams and hair dye!

Gah, Im rambling...back to business! Its time for another round of Milspouse Friday Fill In!!
This weeks questions are...

1.) A different twist on last week's question. This week, the first question is: what’s the nicest thing a MILSPOUSE has ever done for you? (brought to you from navy_smurfette)

Im still rather new to the whole milspouse thing (during my 1st marriage, I didnt hang with other milspouses because I was in Va and the hubs was in Germany/Iraq) so I really havent had much interaction with milspouses here yet. A milspouse did get me turned on to spin class at our local gym, and for that I thank her!!

2.) How often do you drive faster than the speed limit?

On post? NEVER. Off post? At least 5 over all the time unless I have children in my car (then its the grandma lane for me!). Suprisingly enough, I havent gotten a speeding ticket in over 6 years! I usually go with the flow of traffic, so since arriving in Hawaii, its usually just 5 over. The driving style is WAY more laid back than back home. People usually do the speed limit or under (drives me nuts)

3.) Did you have a nickname in school? If so, what was it?

Just your standard Jen or Jennifer. Of course when the movie Forrest Gump came out, it was Jen-nayyyyyy haha. Nowadays I answer to Aunt Jen/Jenny, honey/babycakes/loverbutt/lover/baby (from Kevin obviously), Jen, hey you, Mrs Buz...

4.) If your life was a book, what would the title be and how would it end?

"The random life of J Buzuleciu" and it would end with Kevin and I enjoying retirement with our grandchildren

5.) Look back (in your planner if you have one) to September 14th... what did you do that day?

We had been on island for 5 days. That was a Tuesday, and Kevin had gone back to work so I was stuck in a hotel room most of the day. I think I made my first trip to the pearlridge mall that day to get my rings resized!

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

TGIF yall!! Its time for another installment of Milspouse Friday Fill-In! Head over to Wife of a Sailor to snag this weeks questions :)

1.) What’s the nicest thing a stranger has ever done for you?

I had a complete stranger stop and help me change a tire once!! Thanks random lady!!

2.) If you are having a hard time going to sleep, what do you do to help yourself?

Tylenol PM usually because I have insomnia that rears its ugly head. I also read the news on the computer, that helps me get sleepy

3.) Name something that makes you wish you were a kid again.

There are a few things, starting with my car note, bills, etc. Seeing as Halloween is right around the corner, I miss dressing up and going trick or treating! Now I dress up, but Im the one handing out the candy hehe

4.) What is something you never believed until you experienced it?

I never believed I would sound like my mother when I grew up, but now that Im an adult and getting older, I find myself saying some of the things to my neices and nephews that she said to me!!

5.) What can’t you say “no” to?

Its not so much "what" I cant say no to, its "who"! And that would be my neices and nephews. They look at me with their cute faces and their puppy dog eyes (yes even the older ones put them on) and I just cant tell them no! I need to work through this, because theyre getting older=more expensive!!

Friday Fill In time!

This weeks questions:

1. Are you a night owl or an early bird?

Well, lately Ive been sleeping in, but historically Im both!
2. What makes you jealous?

I tend to get jealous of people who grew up getting everything they wanted. People who didnt have to work until like age 25, because mommy and daddy bought them their car, paid their bills, and paid for their college. Drives me nuts. I dont hate them for it, just must be nice, thats all.
3. Have you started Christmas/holiday shopping yet? When will you finish? (There’s only 63 days left!)

Nope, usually I loooooovvvvve being a last minute shopper (Dec 24th baby!) but now that we are in Hawaii and have to send boxes out, Ive got to start next month :)
4. What would you have a personal chef make you tonight?

anything, just so long as I dont have to cook!! :)
5. Where was your first kiss?

On my front porch, and Im still friends with the guy!

Dont forget, you can get these fabulous questions every week by going over to Wife of a Sailors blog here...

Camping

Hello from Peacock Flats! This post is going to be really short as I'm flogging from my phone tonight and I just don't want to type out a long post. The drive up here was really nice. Once we hitched trail it was 7 miles to the campsite. 7 miles of bumpy dirt road. Once we got here we set up camp and I spent the majority of the evening chatting with a fellow wife from Kevins company. I love meeting new folks :) just a bit ago the other people that are camping with us  got here. They're awesome, but its late and Kevin and I decided to  head to sleep. We are planning to leave around noon tomorrow, so I will have an opportunity to do some serious picture taking! More tomorrow night.... with pictures!

Milspouse Fill in Friday

I love Fridays. Even more so since we arrived in Hawaii, because almost every Friday Kevin gets half the day off :)

Thank you to Wife of a Sailor for this weeks questions!

1. What are some things on your bucket list? (from New Girl on Post)
Have children, visit at least a hundred different countries, learn to play the piano, get a college degree (or 2), go skydiving, go hang gliding, go on a safari, make a quilt by hand, and the list goes on.....
2. How long have you been a MilSpouse and where have you been stationed so far? (from Raising Roscoe)
Okay, are we talking total, or just with Kevin? I have been married before and he happened to join the military, so total I have been a milspouse a little over 3 years. I just married Kevin in June though :) Ex hubbs was stationed in Germany (but I didnt live there). So far with Kevin its been Ft Eustis Va, and now Hawaii.

3. What is a list of songs that sums up your life so far? (from Confessions of a Sailor’s Wife)
Hmmm before Kevin, it was a plethra of songs about cheaters. When I met Kevin it changed to those mushy gushy love songs :)

4. What is your favorite kind of pizza?

Well, Ive kind of sworn off pizza (too fattening), but when I did eat it, I loved hawaiian pizza with pineapple and ham! Yummo

5. What are three good things in your life right now?
The love Kevin and I share for one another
Getting a really nice home, and spending time making it awesome
Finally starting the process of going back to school to finish my degree (and this time not stopping!)

Fill in the blank Friday

I have been awful at keeping up with this blog. Something about trying to write in 2 different blogs every night just seemed time consuming. Lately I have been really tired at night so Ive only focused on our Hawaii blog as of late.Today though, I found something new! This was on one of my friends blogs and I thought it would be kinda cool to try out. So here goes, this weeks fill in the blank Friday!

1. The first thing I do in the morning to start my day is kiss Kevin! Every morning before he goes to PT/Work he gives me a kiss. He is the sweetest husband ever :)
2. Today I wish I was a little more energized. Our household goods arrived today and even though I know that alot got done, I still felt like I was slugging around a bit. It could be that I havent gone to the gym in a month and my metabolism slowed down. Back to the gym Monday though!!

3. If I had an extra $100 in my bank account today I'd get more stuff for our house at Bed Bath and Beyond!! We have alot more space now and we want to fill it up!

4. Tomorrow I will be unpacking the last 1/4 of my kitchen and getting the bathrooms and bedrooms all set up while Kevin gets new wheels put on his Betty Jeep.

5. Two things that don't go together are my house and ants. Ive already found some and I will be heading to lowes tomorrow to get industrial strength bug poison.
6. Something I can never pass up at the grocery store is fruits! We always get either bananas, apples, oranges, grapes, or all of the above. Oh, and I almost never go to the grocery store without getting frozen yogurt or WW Ice cream :)

7. The last time I tried something new was about 2 weeks ago. I had some Korean BBQ and some of the food was good, but some was kinda icky
