Super Day and a suprise BBQ

I meant to blog at the end of the day yesterday but I was just so tired I only thought of one thing after my evening shower:bed!! So I decided to combine yesterdays and todays in one blog. Yesterday I got up around 630 and went to work with Kevin. His duty for the day was to man a Huey helicopter display for Ft Eustis' annual Super Day event. Basically him and another one of his co workers answered questions about the aircraft and allowed people to climb in and play with the controls, take pictures, etc. So I decided to hang out with Kevin and keep him company for the day. It was over 100 degrees yesterday but it wasnt so bad, we were under some trees and under a tent, and had plenty of water. I actually enjoyed it!. Whenever Kevin was busy, I just read one of my e-books on my phone...gosh I love that phone *sigh* By the time we got home, all we wanted to do was eat dinner, take a shower, relax and head to bed! Slept pretty good last night too, the heat will do that to ya haha.

Today, I woke up at 730 and headed to step class (as usual haha). Felt great this morning, because normal Saturday mornings I feel like Im a quarter step behind everyone in the class and I cant put more than 2 moves together at a time-- yeah, Im usually completely useless in step class on Saturday lol. But today I was hitting every step and had amazing energy! Yesterday was my brothers birthday, so my mom decided to throw a BBQ to celebrate his birthday. Or so she told us thats what it was for! Kevin and I get to her house and come around back and were suprised with a going away Luau BBQ!! Haha sneaky mom :) I just thought it was going to be an afternoon of hanging with my neice and nephew, my bro, his gf, and her two girls, as well as my mom and stepdad. Well all of those people were there but they were throwing the party for us! We had a great time (even though we all had to come inside after a bit-- the heat index was 112 this afternoon with like a gazillion percent humidity!) and ate a bunch of food! Kinda bummed that I didnt know it was a luau--I would have worn my grass skirt and my coconut boobs hehe. Nevertheless it was a good time and I enjoyed spending time with the kids and my family. My mom even sent Kevin and I home with 2 of my grandads Hawaiian music records he got in Hawaii years ago as well as a letter holder from Hawaii they purchased in 1968.  Im excited to take a couple of mementos from my grandad with me on the move :) I sure am going to miss my family when we go...They better start saving for tickets to Hawaii so I can see them!! So now we are back home and about to take a shower and go to bed! Yeah its only 10pm, but Im tired! Buenos Noches!
